Music For A Cause Update

By Timmy Vatterott on Cedar Creek, Events       September 13, 2022

Hi ya folks!

It’s been a hot minute and we wanted to catch you up on some of the goings on out here at Cedar Creek. Mainly, how impressive and good looking you are and also how we fared for our Third Annual ‘Music For A Cause’ Festival to benefit Access Academies that was held in late July.  We put together a little highlight video to give you a sense of how the day unfolded.

MUSIC FOR  A CAUSE

It was a hot one, literally, so we moved all the festivities to our indoor venues where we could pump up the AC. This one change made the unbearable heat (it was north of 100F on the day if you recall) slightly more bearable and we had a tremendous turnout. Each band played a different venue. Starting at Town Hall, the duo Musicology kicked off things with a great set, then folks moved across the street and on to Carriage Hall where solo performer Stephen Wooley filled the room with his sonorous voice and guitar. Finally, closing out the night in absolute raucous stye at the Event Barn was the headliner, Sean Canan’s Voodoo Players. Everyone had a blast and the event was a huge success in support of Access Academies. A big thanks to everyone who came out and donated! Bravo!

CARRIAGE HALL

Hmm, what’s that you say? Carriage Hall? Well, we were hoping you might ask.

Carriage Hall is the newest venue at Cedar Creek and is currently accessed through the Saloon in the Western Town. It’s where the old brewery used to be and where the vintage carriages are kept. We are in the process of transforming it into something special for cocktail parties and will keep you posted on a grand opening in the next few months. Keep your eye on this space because it will be something fun to celebrate!

Marillac By The Lake

By Timmy Vatterott on Stories       July 26, 2022

We’ve got something special to share today. We made a short film highlighting the Marillac Mission Fund—a St. Louis based non-profit group that focuses on primary and preventive health care and social services and is committed to serving persons who are poor and vulnerable. You can learn more about them here: https://marillacmissionfund.org

The Fund sent a group of its frontline social workers out to Cedar Creek for a few days of well deserved rest and rejuvenation. Fishing maestro Paula took the group down to the Lake to drop a line in the water. Teaching beginners how to fish is her calling. Here’s what happened next.

Music For A Cause Update!

Hi ya folks!

It’s a hot one out there and we hope everyone is safe and staying cool.
There is an updated schedule of events for this weekend and a great way for you to beat the heat at this year’s Music For A Cause on Saturday, July 23rd.
We have moved all of the entertainment indoors and in a climate controlled environment with plenty of access to cold water and tasty adult beverages of your choice. Having indoor air conditioning means you can still boogie down if you choose to show us your sweet, sweet moves.

Town Hall Business Hours

By Timmy Vatterott on Town Hall       May 22, 2022
Town Hall Business Hours

Thanks to everyone for coming out to our grand re-opening of Town Hall on My 14th! We had a one heck of a shindig and seeing your smiling faces brought joy to ours.

Many of you inquired about our business hours for Town Hall and we wanted to address that here. So pull up a chair and let’s chew the fat shall we?

Town Hall is essentially a “seasonal” restaurant meaning that during our busy time (May through November) we have limited public facing hours while during our slow time (December through April) our restaurant hours are more expansive and open up considerably. The reason being that we want to be able to give you the dining experience you deserve when you come out to Town Hall and have crafted our restaurant hours with that as our guiding principal. We will of course, keep everyone updated if anything changes and to notify you of future events like our monthly Chef Pairings that highlight local vendors and other upcoming and hair-raising hootenannies.

2022 Town Hall Summer & Fall Hours:

Friday Dinner with live music from 5 – 9

Saturday Lunch from 11 – 2

*Sunday Brunch?

While keeping your experience in mind we want to gauge interest on hosting a weekly Sunday brunch.

Chime in if you want to be a part of the Brunch crowd!

See you soon at Town Hall!

Town Hall is back!

Howdy folks, it’s been a hot minute since we updated you on the goings on over here at Town Hall and let me tell you—we’ve got it going on!

We will be back and officially re-opened to the public on weekends starting Saturday, May 14. We have a new menu that Chef Todd put together and we can’t wait for you to sample some of his wares! Also, there will be live music and of course great craft beer.

We’re kicking off a monthly tasting series at Town Hall called Chef Pairings—with the first one being held on Wednesday, April 27 from 4-7. This will be a ticketed and all inclusive event with limited seating featuring Chef Todd’s cuisine and Paddle Stop Brewery located in downtown New Haven. This pairing features an aperitif followed by a five course meal. More details of this pairing will be released early next week on our Facebook page so stay tuned!

At Town Hall we want to highlight and partner with local vintners, beer geeks, musicians, and artisans who make the community a vibrant one. If you haven’t been out to see us for a while it might be a good time to change that!

Pi Day Weekend!

By Timmy Vatterott on Uncategorized       March 5, 2022

Howdy folks!

We’re kicking off the month of March with an early celebration of the world’s most famous irrational number, π (pi). That’s right, Pi Day i.e 3/14 is right around the corner so let’s all get ready to see how many digits we can recite. Ready? Set? Go!

3.14159 is all I could muster. Think you can do better? Well, come on out to Cedar Creek and show us! We’re offering a complimentary upgrade to a King Cottage (a $150 value) when guests book between 3/11 and 3/14.

As always, breakfast is included for all overnight guests. But don’t look too closely at the pic above as they tell me it might not be an actual pie on the table. Ah well, seems more like a delicious coffee cake or a distant relative to a Danish. But I digress…

Call (855) 778-7222 to make your reservation today–space is limited so make sure to book yours soon!
