Cedar Creek Presents: The Erker Brothers

The Erker Brothers are playing at Cedar Creek in New Haven, MO, on Saturday, 2/28/26, in the Event Barn and you are invited!
We know what you’re thinking and we are asking ourselves the same exact questions:
Is it true that if I find a baby bird that needs care I shouldn’t touch it because the mama will smell my scent or something and not tend to her baby anymore?
I see a lovely butterfly floating in front of me and it gently alights on my outstretched palm. Can I touch its wings or does that mess up its ability to fly?
Are the beautiful creatures called the Erker Brothers actually brothers? And is it true that at least one of them was conceived at Cedar Creek in a night of wild passion (and within the bonds of marriage) over 40 years ago?
True.
No touching.
Some are. Yes, but we’re not saying who.
You see, some things are just too beautiful and precious to get your grubby little hands on. Some things have to be experienced. And that’s why we are thrilled to kick off the 2026 Cedar Creek Concert Series with the Erker Brothers! So keep those little baby birds where they are. Drop that butterfly net. Pause the conception. Open your ears and shake out that stanky leg for dancing because you are invited to an all inclusive night of music and entertainment, an open bar, and a chef prepared banquet for you and all the lovelies you decide to bring along for this wonderful night of revelry. If you enjoy grown men who sing like baby angels then this is the night for you!
All event tickets sold include all of the above. If you decide to book a room, (2) event tickets are included per room as well as a full breakfast in Town Hall the following day. Not too shabby! But you’ll need to act fast as rooms will sell out!

Band Bio:
The Erker Brothers is a collective of longtime friends and musicians rooted in St. Louis, Missouri, bonded by more than 25 years of shared stages, side projects, and musical cross-pollination. The band features Neil Erker (guitar, vocals), Kevin Erker (piano, vocals), JL Drew (guitar, vocals), Tom Schmidt (bass), and Matt Hennessey (drums)—each a seasoned player who has played together in various configurations for decades.
Musically, The Erker Brothers live at the crossroads of rock, indie, alt-country, Americana, and jam, blending strong songwriting with the looseness and trust of musicians who know how to take risks together. Their sets move fluidly between originals—many born during their time in the Chicago rock band Portable Models—and reimagined covers that instantly transport listeners back to the soundtracks of their teens, twenties, and thirties. Neil, JL, and Kevin previously played together in Portable Models, while Neil Erker and Matt Hennessey continue to perform with the Chicago-based band Many Places, keeping their creative energy sharp and evolving.
What truly sets The Erker Brothers apart is the live experience. No two songs are played the same way twice, and no one on stage is locked into a single role. Vocals are traded, instruments are swapped, and solos emerge organically—often from the person you least expect. Adding to the unpredictability, the band frequently brings out surprise featured artists, turning each show into a one-night-only collaboration that rewards the room in real time.
The Erker Brothers don’t just play songs—they play off each other and the moment, creating shows that are as engaging to watch as they are to hear.
